In 2001, RIVM (Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en Milieuhygiëne) decided to upgrade their existing national radioactivity-measuring network (14 monitors).  Among many competitors, they chose the new BAI 9128-ENV particulates moving filter monitor, after several months of extensive testing by experts in the field.
